Can I bring in my own outside food?
No, all food and beverage must be provided by the Conference Centre. Special occasion cakes and cupcakes and traditional cookies are the exception
What bus routes do I take to get there?
Our city bus system, O.C. Transpo #9 hurdman and #9 downtown, both stop right outside our doors on Vanier Parkway
Is parking complimentary?
Yes, we have 515 underground parking spaces and 300 outdoor overflow parking spaces available
Do you have a restaurant on site?
Yes, in our sister property , the Courtyard by Marriott Ottawa East, attached to our facility we have The Bistro, a 100 seat fully licensed restaurant offering breakfast, lunch and dinner
Is your AV company exclusive?
They are not exclusive, however they are our preferred, and to use a third party would result in a service charge
Do you have a business centre?
No, however, we can provide for last minute print jobs and faxing when necessary
What is your cancellation Policy?
- If a function cancellation is made anytime after the contract is signed, a cancellation fee equivalent to the full-published Room Rental will apply, less any revenue recouped by the Conference Centre through resale of this space.
- If a function cancellation is made within 30 days prior to a pending event, a cancellation fee, equivalent to the full published Room Rental and 50% of the actual food and Beverage Revenue will be levied as liquidated revenue damages less any revenue recouped by the Conference Centre through the resale of this space.
- If a function cancellation is made within four business days prior to an event, a cancellation fee equivalent to 100% of the actual Food and Beverage Revenue and the actual Room Rental will be levied as liquidated revenue damages less any revenue recouped by the Conference Centre through the resale of this space.
Can I bring in my own alcohol?
Yes, limited to wine only during dinner. There is a corkage fee of $24.95 per bottle and you must also purchase a Special Occasion Permit from the LCBO.
How do I arrange for a courier?
You must pre-arrange for pick up with your own preferred courier. You must package all goods to be shipped, fill out the shipping label and call your preferred courier for the pick up.
How do I book or block guestrooms if I am having an event at the Conference Centre?
Your Sales Manager will offer you quotes and put you in contact with the reservations manager of your chosen hotel (or both). You will then deal directly with the hotel.
What are your taxes and gratuities?
We charge 13% HST on all billable items and we do NOT charge a gratuity.
What is the fee for internet?
We offer complimentary wifi to all our guests.
What is the SOCAN fee and the resound fee?
We collect and forward these fees in full to SOCAN and RE:SOUND. We are mandated to collect these fees from groups/clients that play recorded music during a function or event. SOCAN – represents the rights of songwriters, lyric authors, composers and music publishers
RE:SOUND – represents the rights of the performers who played on recordings and the record companies that released those recordings
